The appointment of a national Financial Literacy “Czar” is imminent, and we look forward to welcoming this individual in their new role. The appointment is one of the most important recommendations of the federal government’s Task Force on Financial Literacy, and this person will play a critical role in continuing the momentum of the recommendations from the Task Force. Personally, I hate debt – I think it saps your strength and can seriously limit one’s freedom to make positive life choices. Leaving a job you hate is tough when you have to work off a huge debt load, right? I say it’s time for Canadians to earn our own personal AAA ratings and to get out from under the burden of debt. MORE
