About Robin Taub, CPA, CA

Robin Taub is a financial literacy consultant, speaker and blogger. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and the best-selling author of A Parent’s Guide to Raising Money-Smart Kids.

She has held professional positions in both audit and taxation at two of Canada’s largest accounting firms and spent five years in the complex world of derivatives marketing at Citibank Canada. Currently, she works with various organizations to compile unbiased financial information as well as create programs and resources to help Canadians make more informed and appropriate financial and investing decisions.

Robin is also passionate about improving opportunities for women to advance into positions of leadership in the accounting profession and is Chair of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada’s Women’s Leadership Council.

Robin graduated with a bachelor of commerce degree from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto and earned her CPA, CA designation in 1989. She went on to complete CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Course in 1991. Robin values lifelong learning; in 2010, she participated in the Canadian Board Diversity Council’s director education program.

Robin is the mother of two teenaged children. She lives in Toronto and enjoys an active family life, which includes biking, hiking, snowboarding, concert-going, travelling and reading.
